Bands, food, beverages, arts, crafts…and somewhere there will be flowers. Looks like spectacular weather for the Larkspur Food and Flower Festival on Sunday, May 30 between 11 and 6. See you there!
April Brought Us More Marin Home Sales
The chart below shows a couple of interesting things. First, the number of homes going into contract (the line with triangles) is up in April. Second, even though it seems that a lot of homes are on the market, the number is less than last year. Note the light green ‘for sale’ bars. There was a big dip in the number of homes available over the holidays, many sellers waiting for better weather….and finally there was a big spike in available homes.
Party at the Marin Designer Showcase!
Shortly after joining Alain Pinel Realtors, I was fortunate to land some of the last tickets available for a wonderful APR party and tour of the 2010 Marin Designer Showcase at this gorgeous San Rafael Estate.
My clients had a wonderful time, and I recommend taking a tour of the wonderfully designed rooms in this home before June 5. Order your tickets here:
API Scores in: Tiburon Edges Out Kentfield and Mill Valley
Reed and Bel Aire Elementary in Tiburon both achieved scores of 951 on the API tests — just over the next highest schools, Old Mill and Bacich Elementary. There is also good news about a San Rafael elementary school’s scores improving greatly. Check out the Marin Independent Journal story here:
Where do Google Street View Video and Photos Come From?
Many of my clients will see if there is a Google Street View of a home before they go to see it. That got me wondering who the heck is taking the video and or photos that we all see. So I googled it:
