Larkspur is located between Mill Valley and Kentfield. Believe it or not, it only takes 15 minutes to travel from here to the Golden Gate Bridge...20 minutes in rush hour.
In addition to having one of the best commutes in Marin County, the downtown area of Larkspur (west side of Highway 101) has some of the best weather in Marin County. A little warmer than Mill Valley, a little cooler than San Anselmo.....we're often just on the sunny side of the fog bank in the summer.
It's gourmet gulch in our cute downtown.
The Lark Creek Inn, The Left Bank, Picco, The Ward Street Cafe, Fabrizio, and CJs Chinese are just a few of our favorites. Rulli's is a nationally-known Italian pastry and coffee house that consistently wins the 'best latte' in Marin award from the Pacific Sun. The interior design is worth the trip.
After dinner, head over to the Lark Theater, one of the last single-screen deco theaters left in the country.... or the Larkspur Cafe Theater, with its rock, jazz, blues and country playing on a regular basis.
The schools here are top-rated. Contact Julie Leitzell for school scores all over Marin County.
